I hope you enjoy reading

Diary: Visits groceries and first video:

~~Tuesday’s Christmas decorations for Thomas with Shirley and grocery discounts are followed by video recording and my Knox visit next day.~~

Tuesday afternoon past, Shirley and I visited Thomas and Gabriella. I had promised Thomas a hand putting up his christmas ‘trees’ out on an external landing. This could be done through the open window using Thomas’ well thought out procedure. Shirley gave me a ride from Anderson station, in part because she had never seen the new condo to which my friends had moved now already 8 years ago.

We had a good social with tea, yes and mostly good conversation. I talked mainly with Thomas as he sat by himself in an easy chair, where I joined him sitting on the edge of the piano bench. Gabriella and Shirley talked all that time while at the kitchen bar. Thomas broke his pelvis bone in a fall, which has him confined to his condo, though things are improving slowly.

Tuesday was also shopping day at Safeway’s, where I spent fifty dollars in the morning and one hundred after supper on a second trip in the evening. I also read in ’s “Political Order and Decay” closing in on the end, of the book that is; not political order, although there is much disorder on the planet.

Yesterday morning at 9:30am I was at the ‘Prow’ library to experiment with the video camera in the video studio.

Yesterday morning at 9:30am I was at the ‘Prow’ library to experiment with the video camera in the video studio. I explored all the controls on the Sony FDR-AX33. The library staff had supplied a sheet of very useful operating instructions for the camera, tripod and microphone. Its cable is not yet plug compatible, but that will come.

I managed to make four trial recordings with and without sound, all in focus, which is automatic. I managed to play them back on the camera and also so later on my own computer using my chip reader. During a short coffee brake I discovered that the Rode NT-1 mic needs a usb feed cable as required by the Sony camera. I left around 11:15am to make my way to the Knox noon time meeting, where we met with a small group of about five people, with Referent Dave in the lead.
Now 9:31am after coffee with John and planned lunch with Herman and Don later. For now I continue below under Writings.

Writings: Combining truth value story and insight:

~~I combine relating writings of several days in an attempt to lend some coherence to a newly emerging insight.~~

Today I want to combine the ideas I wrote about on Nov 27 and Dec 03 and hand notes for that date and the 04th as well as some additional comments for today. All this in the hope of coming to a coherent description of an insight that is seeking expression in me at this time.

The notion I want to make clear is that ‘we’ need to validate the stories of the handed down traditions as to their function and also recognise the value that these ‘stories’ hold and convey to us today.

On Nov 27 I explain that traditional story hold true value, even tough the story itself has no historicity. Then on Dec 03 I write on the emerging awareness relating to the Christ child story.
In the evening of the third at 11:16pm I added the following in hand notes:

The story’s function is to convey its great value to all humanity that could not be conveyed any other way.

“The involvement of the shepherds, the tribute of the angels lend support and emphasis to the importance of the new awareness. The elaborate story/ narrative signify the great importance of this new awareness that has emerged in human consciousness giving it a foundation in support that cannot be denied or over looked. Hence Luke’s christmas narrative.

Luke’s account is in support of/ signifies this event of emergence. The elaborate nature of the account and its fabulous events show that this happening is of great importance for all of humankind. The story’s function is to convey its great value to all humanity that could not be conveyed any other way.”

On Tuesday Dec 04 at 9am I record in hand notes:
“Awareness of the Divine enters my consciousness AS a new born child, as Luke’s X-mas story illustrates.”
